Time Capsule Project, March 2012
Students in Mrs. Heaton’s 5th grade literacy class have been studying Ernest Shackleton’s great Antarctic survival adventure of 1914-16. They just completed creating personal Time Capsules and hosting a Time Capsule Museum for parents. Students decided on a special date to open their own capsule. They must wait a minimum of 10 years. Each student was allowed ONLY 10 items in the capsule. A letter was written to themselves about life as it is now, and five personal predictions were required. It was a project enjoyed by all!
