Who We Are, What We Do
- We represent our community: staff members, parents, community members, and our principal.
- We work to ensure that every child at Willow Creek receives the best education possible, and we create goals for improvement every year.
- We hold our school accountable to our citizens and taxpayers.
Every public school in Colorado has a school accountability committee (SAC). By state law, our committee collaborates with school leadership to increase parent engagement. The SAC studies and makes recommendations concerning preparation of the school's annual performance plan, including our goals for improvement. We review assessment data and instructional programming to identify strengths and weaknesses. We meet at least quarterly to discuss implementation of the school's plan and other progress relevant to our accreditation status, and we review school budgets and resources.
To make our purpose clearer to our parents and community this year, we've changed the name of our committee to Willow Creek School Improvement Committee.
We have representatives from our staff, our parents, and our community. The goal is to work together to ensure that education at Willow Creek is as effective as possible and that our resources are used efficiently. Accountability meetings are open to all. We always welcome new parent and community members, so please feel free to come and bring friends! If you would like more information, email either the principal or the chair by clicking the links below. We also appreciate questions and ideas for topics.
